In 2026, we want to better understand coral reef colonies in the Bahamas by using emerging technologies for continuous underwater monitoring.

A live stream underwater camera will provide us the ability for daily remote reef monitoring. Giving us up-to-date views of reef health. Which will help our scientists quickly detect: Coral bleaching events, storm damage and share accessible, intuitive visualizations with communities in the Lucayan Archipelago.

In-situ environmental sensors can capture water temperature, pH, ocean acidity, turbidity, and sedimentation metrics, providing continuous, precise, and localized data on the conditions that directly affect reef health.

Help us fundraise for this project, a total of $10,000 is needed to deploy a continuous underwater monitoring system on the reef we have been studying in Abaco, The Bahamas.
